Hey everybody! I’m excited to join the YFoEE’s #SYSTEM:RESET Project and training to help amplify underrepresented voices in the fight against climate change. The #SYSTEM:RESET online training sessions gave me tools to understand – and further communicate through activism – how including social intersections in democratizing our commons is essential to ensure an inclusive and just transition to a green way of life.

As a member of the Young Friends of the Earth Europe network for some time now, it has always been a pleasure to attend trainings and events with some amazing participants from the network. However, this year things were a bit different, as we couldn't see each other face-to-face and share an experience familiar to us.

With the goal of achieving more food sovereignty in Austria, 22 young people came together to learn about the problems with out current food and farming system and to develop their own visions for a better agricultural and food system in Austria.

Over the course of two zoom meetings, they discussed the problems of our current system and how it should be transformed. Among the outcomes of the meetings are several ideas about what we can do as individuals to support change.

Young Friends of the Earth Europe brought together over 40 young people from across Europe for an online training on food sovereignty.

We've said before that the best way to learn how to fix our food and farming system is to get your hands dirty.

But with coronavirus travel restrictions in place in Denmark, NOAH/Friends of the Earth Denmark set up the next best thing – interactive online farm visits where young people can learn about sustainable farming.
